*Halmaddi is a type of treacle (a bit like sugar cane syrup). This resin is obtained from the Ailanthus Malabarica tree, which is commonly called ‘the Tree of Heaven’.It is mixed with honey to enable a slow and long-burning nagchampa incense. The Halmaddi resin gives the fragrance blends their full, sweet scent and makes the sticks soft to the touch. It is revered for its metaphysical and medicinal qualities.
