Designed to represent the swan of Saraswati, the vehicle for spiritual knowledge and wisdom, each Tika Box has unique carvings into the beautiful aged temple timber and slides open to hold the sacred ash from a sacrificial fire, turmeric, rich red sindoor, sandalwood powders and or special Rudrucksha beads (representing seeds of consciousness).
Most of the above are used to place the Tilak marks on your third eye after your own ceremony or by a temple priest.
Each Tika box measures 22cm by 7cm and all vary slightly. I will be placing a Rudrucksha bead within each Tika Box, as a beautiful blessing for your altar.
